webclient: the artifacts drawer in en, uk and ru
...
The second area of the interface translation. Every user-visible string in
ArtifactsPanel.vue now goes through t(): the four tab chips, the empty states,
the action labels (open preview / open raw file / download / copy link), the
pull-to-refresh captions, the background-task badges and ages, the terminal
detail rows and the live-output header.
60 new slugs, in all three dictionaries:
- 39 in artifacts.*;
- 11 in the shared col.* vocabulary (Tool, Status, Started, Finished, PID,
Command, CWD, Uptime, Background, Reason, Sub-agent tokens) — the drawer is
where these table headers first appear;
- 10 in common.* — Download, Yes, No, N/A, the tool-output labels Result and
Live output, and the four the sidebar needs as well: the three
pull-to-refresh captions and "just now". These are the same words on both
screens, so they sit in the shared vocabulary area and the drawer keeps only
what is about the drawer.
Four details worth knowing:
- The English values are verbatim the literals the code hard-coded, so the
English interface is byte-identical and the existing tests stay untouched.
- Counted strings use dictionary plurals: '{n} links in session' is
one/few/many in ru and uk, one/other in en.
- Times (formatTime / formatDate) and ages now format against locale.value
instead of the browser locale, so a Russian interface shows 16:56 where
English shows 04:56 PM.
- Unit suffixes in formatUptime (s/m/h) are left alone: they are symbols
inside a number, not words.
Checked live in Chromium against the built bundle on the dev backend: the
drawer was driven through all four tabs in all three languages on two real
sessions — one with published STL files and a viewed-images group, one with
eight extracted links — with a slug-leak scan as the pass condition, and the
time/age formatting difference confirmed in the rendering.

webclient: keep the artifacts tab icons on a phone
...
The artifacts panel has two squeeze ladders that did not know about each
other. At <=980px the mobile block hides the tab label, leaving icon +
count; a container query at <=360px separately hides the icon, because
the docked panel has no room for icon + label + count. The query
measures the panel, and on a phone the panel is the viewport — so on a
360px-wide screen (the most common Android width) both fired and every
tab became a bare counter: "Artifacts 0 Links 0 Files 0
Backgrounds 0". Between 361 and 980px the icons were fine, which is why
it only showed up on phones.
Wrap the icon-hiding step in @media (min-width: 981px), so it describes
the docked panel only, where the label is still attached and dropping
the icon still buys something. The panel is otherwise untouched.
Measured in Chromium against the built stylesheet and the component's
real scoped markup, old versus new side by side: at 320px and 360px the
icons go 0/4 -> 4/4 with no row overflow; 390, 430 and 900px are
unchanged; and every docked width tested (300, 340, 370, 450, 537px)
reports byte-identical values before and after. The pre-existing
overflow of the docked row between roughly 300 and 450px is untouched.

webclient: apply kit radii to content-cards and viewed-image thumbs, fix dead scss tokens
...
The content-card and ArtifactsPanel style blocks used @use 'kit-deps'
inside <style scoped> without lang=scss, so sass never ran: the
-radius-md token stayed a literal in the built CSS and the
browser saw border-radius: -radius-md (invalid → 0 corners).
Both blocks now declare lang=scss and compile to the kit's 6px radius.
Also rounds the corners of user-message image attachments and adds the
missing label prop on the tools-collapse icon button (kit dev warning).

webclient: cap thinking body at 800px, smooth details close, Navi-viewed images grouped in artifacts
...
- thinking-body: max-height 800px + inner scroll so long reasoning
doesn't grow the whole chat
- content-card: body stays mounted after first open (no v-show teardown
at toggle time) — ::details-content now has real content to shrink,
so collapsing animates smoothly instead of snapping to 0 in a frame
- synthetic '[Image loaded via ...]' messages from vision tools are no
longer rendered as user bubbles; their images are collected (live from
tool_call metadata, and from history) into a viewed-images group at
the top of the artifacts tab, thumbnails open the lightbox

webclient: artifacts panel — link hover color, single-row tabs, refresh moved right
...
- .link-item hover/active title: text-light instead of black (unreadsble
on the row hover tint)
- tab chips never wrap: container queries on the panel squeeze padding/
font/gap and drop the icons below 360px
- files refresh: default-size GnIconButton aligned to the toolbar right

webclient: artifacts panel — compact actions, refresh in static row, file icons via phosphor 2.x
...
- artifact-actions: flex wrap gap 4px instead of full-width stretched grid
- files refresh: static toolbar row (GnIconButton sm) instead of floating
absolute button that sat on top of the first list rows
- file icons: phosphor vendored 1.4.2 lacked the file-type glyphs
(py/ts/js/html/css...) that fileIcon() already mapped — upgrade to
@phosphor-icons/web 2.1.2 (bundled regular font), drop the vendor dir;
json -> file-code (phosphor has no json glyph)

webclient: artifacts panel -> kit 1.0 visible pass
...
Tabs became kit chips (aria-pressed selected state, plain count inside),
empty states became GnEmptyState, action/refresh/close icon buttons moved
to kit btn-icon / GnIconButton, list badges to kit .badge variants. List
rows dropped the filled-box look for the kit idiom: subtle hover fill and
a left accent bar with panel-muted fill for the selected row. Header is
now stretchable so wrapped chips don't clip. Raw hexes and font literals
replaced with --gn-* tokens.

webclient: retokenize styles onto gn-ui-kit v1.0 CSS variables
...
All ~165 legacy var() usages (--color-*, --surface*, --accent*, --border,
--text*) with hex fallbacks and ~150 raw hex literals across app.scss and
24 scoped style blocks are swapped to the kit's --gn-* tokens per the
intent of the old fallback values:
- accent/primary/teal (#7aa2f7/#4ec9b0) -> --gn-color-secondary
- amber/orange highlights -> --gn-color-accent
- text greys -> --gn-color-text-{light,medium,dark}
- panels -> --gn-surface-panel; elevated tints -> color-mix over panel
- translucent overlays -> color-mix(in srgb, ..., transparent)
Deliberately literal: terminal deep bg #0f0f14 (darker than any token)
and the content-card image badge teal #89dceb (kit has no teal). File
type badges keep a categorical palette via nearest kit tokens.
Dead "UI kit overrides" block halved: kit 1.0 dropped hover icon
rotation, so only the app-owned chevron open-state flip remains.
Verified: vitest 111 passed, build OK, dev render matches W1 baseline

webclient: merge Terminals into Backgrounds tab (single list)

webclient: Backgrounds tab in artifacts panel + task toasts
...
- new Backgrounds tab: task list (running first, badges, per-tool icons)
with a detail view (status, timestamps, sub-agent tokens, result/progress)
- GET /sessions/{id}/tasks snapshot endpoint: task_update events are not
replayed on reconnect, so the client fetches the task list on session
load/reload; live task_update entries are merged on top (chat.fetchTasks)
- terminal task_update no longer removes the entry — it marks it finished
so the tab shows recent completions; _terminalTaskIds still blocks
resurrection by a late running update
- toasts for background task start / finish (info / success / error) in
the WS dispatch; silent for other sessions and unknown terminal ids
- persistent background-tasks chip removed (replaced by the tab); only
the queued-messages chip stays
- fix invisible status text in terminal detail rows: filled .status-*
backgrounds now scope to .terminal-status-badge only

Fix terminal detail UX: description wrapping, status contrast, close button
...
- Remove `white-space: nowrap` from `.terminal-detail-meta` and
`.terminal-item .artifact-meta` — long descriptions now wrap instead
of being clipped with ellipsis.
- Add `-webkit-line-clamp: 2` to list-item meta so description is
limited to 2 lines with graceful overflow.
- Fix status colour in detail rows: `.terminal-detail-value.status-busy`
etc. added after `.terminal-detail-value` so their colours override
the default #C0CAF5 (was causing light-on-light text).
- Add close button (X) inside `.terminal-detail-header` to dismiss
the detail pane without leaving the tab.
- Make `selectTerminal` toggle: second click on the same item deselects.
- Build webclient and run tests — all pass.

Fix link deduplication in ArtifactsPanel — three root causes
...
1. normalizeUrlForDedup returned only pathname, so https://a.com/foo
and https://b.com/foo shared key /foo. Now uses host+pathname
(with www stripped).
2. Trailing punctuation was stripped for display but not before dedup,
so https://example.com/path. and https://example.com/path got
different keys /path. vs /path. Now stripTrailingPunctuation() runs
before normalizeUrlForDedup().
3. Fragile before==='(' skip logic for markdown hrefs replaced with
precise protectedRanges tracking — bare URLs whose match falls inside
a recorded markdown href range are skipped regardless of spacing.

ArtifactsPanel: two-pass link extraction — markdown links win over bare URLs
...
Markdown links carry a title/caption, so they should always take priority
over bare URLs during deduplication. Previously a bare URL from a newer
message could shadow an older markdown link. Now markdown links are
scanned in a separate first pass, so they always win the dedup race.

ArtifactsPanel: strip trailing punctuation from URLs for dedup
...
Bare URLs sometimes pick up a trailing ) or . from surrounding markdown
(e.g. model writes a link inside parentheses). The normalizeUrlForDedup()
helper strips trailing punctuation before checking the seen Set so
https://a/b and https://a/b) are treated as the same link.

Persist uploaded files in messages, live file tree updates, and UI polish
...
Backend:
- Add `files` field to `Message` model so uploaded file metadata survives page refresh
- Pass `files` through websocket handler → `agent.run_stream` / `agent.run`
- `list_tools`: make `profile_id` required; return error instead of all-tools fallback
Webclient:
- Call `fetchFiles()` after successful file upload for immediate Files tab update
- Live refresh file tree on filesystem (write/edit/append/mkdir/rm/cp/mv), terminal, and code_exec tool calls
- Add manual refresh button (desktop) and pull-to-refresh (mobile) to Files tab
- Fix live link updates: move regex creation inside per-message loop to avoid lastIndex state leak
- Restore full profile name text next to avatar in ChatHeader; hide avatar in header
- Fix mobile ArtifactsPanel: collapse tab text labels so close button fits with 3 tabs
